Job Overview
The Engagement Deal Desk Manager will be the DS&S Group focal point for coordinating, creating and delivering industry specific engagement proposals for RFPs and well qualified direct sales customer leads.  The Engagement Desk Manager will be a critically important “intelligent switch” between sales, product management, services, pricing and contracts in both an influencing and synthesis capacity.  The Industry Strategy & Engagement Desk Manager will report to the DS&S Global Industry Lead and Managing Partner.
Responsibilities
• Play point on synthesizing and coordinating – and where needed presenting - DS&S customer proposals; synthesizing inputs from sales, product management, product evangelists, technical sales, deployment services, pricing and contracts to create and coordinate proposal content as needed to advance these engagements to timely, profitable close
• Work with key DS&S account leads to provide inputs, influence and to help ensure a coordinated business negotiation and consistent proposal strategy
• Understand DS&S’ unique selling propositions and product/solution differentiators and ensure that is reflected in engagement proposals, including keeping up to date on key market trends and the competitive product landscape to drive compelling customer-facing proposals

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred
• 3-5 years of  Business Development/ Sales Proposal and/or Product Management experience for a software company targeting or 2+ years at a leading strategy consultancy
• Demonstrated success in playing point to coordinate and influence multiple constituencies to create compelling power-point storylines and comprehensive CxO oriented proposals under tight timeframes
• Basic financial business case modeling experience
• CxO or Senior Director level customer facing experience a big plus
• Knowledge of, and experience with Banking and/or Retail sectors, required, with experience in Big Data Analytics a big plus
• Negotiating and/or deal experience a big plus
• Self-starter, works well in a collaborative team environment, enjoys rolling up sleeves
