Description:

Main duties will relate to helping design, implement and commercialize a sophisticated battery management system for automotive. This job requires awareness of EV battery technology. 
Duties:
Actively research into and promote the latest EV and battery developments, considering the white space where our client may wish to operate
Identify Customer specific solutions based on the project battery management and design market strategies.
Work with a specialist team to help design/ review/ implement a sophisticated battery management system (BMS) that provides detailed analysis of the variables of the battery including at a cell level to enhance optimisation
Represent our client in projects to clients and partners as an EV & battery management specialist.
Works effectively with team members to implement changes to the battery management system and continuously improve customer satisfaction and quality.
Analyses and evaluate battery data as related to usage, performance and life.
Provide regular reports to Senior Members on project progress and resource budgets.
Create and communicate new ideas, solutions and encourage problem solving.
Skills & Qualifications:
Degree in appropriate subject for example; Engineering, Electronics 
Proven Experience of developing new product solutions for cutting edge applications.
Experience with analyzing / evaluating battery technology designs and data is desirable.
Automotive Experience.
Ability to influence constructively wider team functions, suppliers and clients.

The Future Manufacturing Enterprise Team (FMET):
The Future Manufacturing Enterprise Team was carved out as a SWAT group to entrepreneurially seek white space growth opportunities in the Business 4.0 TM ecosystem, drive strategic growth and elevate market positioning for the Business Group. One such strategic area identified is CASE Automotive Business (Connected Autonomous Shared & Electric Automotive Business).

CASE Automotive Business
Connected, Autonomous, Shared and Electric Vehicles (CASE), is one of the most exciting things happening in the industry today, and is seeing the convergence of Technology - software & hardware, IT and Automotive Engineering like never before to create a true Business 4.0 TM ecosystem.
The CASE Auto Business team has chosen five key business focal points or ‘Product Tracks’, which are CASE Auto Academy & Practice, Autonomous Vehicle Development, Vehicle to Ecosystem Services, Fleet Business Services and Electric Vehicle & Battery Systems Business, each under a designated Product Manager.
As part of this strategic entrepreneurial initiative, we are looking for strong leaders who would like to join our EV and Battery Management (EVB) Consulting team.

Our client's client EVB consulting unit helps OEMs focus their objectives, fine tune investment decisions, allow utilisation of our EV ecosystem and partners with them to ensure successful implementation of their EV strategy.


Within EVB – we welcome senior professionals who have experience in any of the following areas, whether at a strategic, operational or technical level:  

1. Battery configuration, optimisation and management.
- In essence how can we better configure/ optimise the charging mechanism for the EV batteries to give maximise range and performance.  
- Cell level analysis
- Real time data ingestion from sensors
- Battery data storage, compute and analytics
- Analytical models and the underlying algorithms
- Visualization dashboards and Insights driven from the dashboards

2. Battery reuse strategy and implementation
When the battery packs in an EV are deemed too worn for driving, they still have 80 percent of their charge left.  Before recycling and to benefit the environment these batteries can be re-used in a number of areas including:
 To support national electric grids industrial load balancing  (Batteries store the power and help level the flow of electricity).  The battery modules could be charged during off-peak hours and then sell the power back into grid during peak times
 Powering IOT devices like the next generation of home appliances
 Acting as back up power sources when the electricity fails
Responsibilities:  
The focus is on global capability & capacity build up that can drive multi-fold growth over the next three years.
The key expectations on this role can include some of the following –
1. Position our client's as a ‘Trusted Adviser’ and ‘Partner’ with the customer  
2. Continuously scan of market environment for white spaces and growth opportunities – identify, validate and build business case for Intellectual Property
3. Develop deep understanding of the business strategies of the customers, competitive landscape and technology preferences; implications for us
4. Driving Business Growth – Connect with a portfolio of customers to drive revenue growth; participate in response of key RFPs etc.

6. Team Building – Attract talent from the market, mentor & coach them

The said role will report into the Global Head of EVB and help them with industry leading skills & expertise, business connects and insights to shape the business by deploying the strategy and driving growth in line with the company’s expectations. They are expected to support strategic capability in the area of practice. May be expected to lead strategic client programs in part or full from time to time.

1. Automotive industry experience from OEM / Tier 1 with global brands
2. Hands on experience in relevant areas of business applied for
3. Has provided leadership to at-least one relevant program in the space
4. Demonstrated ability to work at CX / VP levels in organizations
5. Conversant with EV ecosystem in automotive business
6. Recognized Industry Expert / Established Credentials
7. Strong Communication Skills, as evidenced in speaking engagements / publications

Experience of working with / for major consulting or analyst forms in similar space will be an added advantage

The aspirants must be willing to operate in flat organization structures and across functional teams to leverage the best of capabilities available for a given requirement. Project teams will be formed of right skilled consultants & technologists on need basis
