Description:
The position is for an experienced consultant who has led and managed shopfloor and manufacturing operations management projects. The consultant would be working with Fortune 500 process industry clients including basic chemicals, specialty chemical, fertilizers, paper, adhesives etc. in the area of production, quality or maintenance and would be responsible for:
• Providing thought leadership and building innovative solutions to transform client situation using digital and emerging technologies including advanced analytics
• Leading client discussions, identifying and converting opportunities for engagement – both from consulting as well as IT/OT solutions perspectives
will be a part of the Manufacturing Excellence team within the Innovation & Transformation Group.
Responsibilities:
• Provide vision, roadmap and act as an advisor to the senior leadership of clients through subject matter expertise and thought leadership
• Create and convert opportunities for consulting engagements and IT/OT solutions
• Lead and help to shape solution approaches and design by integrating capabilities across the organization – Proof of concept, MVP, transformation program etc.
• Advise clients on fit for purpose solution whether custom built or best of breed solution from process and technology standpoint
• Provide delivery oversight and governance for transformational engagements, if required
• Interact with analysts, marketing channels, existing or new solution partners
• Build service offerings and capabilities
• Build the next level of consulting team
Qualifications:
• Direct experience gained ideally within the process manufacturing industry and / or a consulting firm/ or product/solution company
• Work experience and knowledge in manufacturing management process areas like Production Management, Quality Management, Maintenance Management, Shopfloor control
• Understands the capabilities of MES/SCADA/IIoT or other shopfloor data collection and analysis products/solutions used in Process industries (e.g. Ignition SCADA, OSIsoft, Aspentech, Wonderware, SAP MII)
• Has a broad outlook of the manufacturing value chain processes & functions, industry trends and enabling technologies.
• Understands the nuances of different manufacturing industries, their challenges
• Can articulate the business value of operational efficiency and KPI improvements
• Exposure to ERP and PLM
• Exposure to process improvement methodologies
• Experience in Project Management
• An Engineering Bachelor's Degree or similar.
