Description:
· Work with global customer designing and implementing large complex networks
· Must hold an active Secret clearance
· At least ten (10) years of progressive experience and team leadership in the design and implementation of large, complex global networks
· Well versed in cloud architectures, software defined networking, data center switching technologies, and securing virtual environments (AWS, Azure, Google desired)
· Strong WAN experience
· Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert or Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCIE or CCDE) certification desired
· Excellent communications and leadership skills
· Demonstrated confidence with the ability to present and have customer facing conversations
· Develop test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines for various projects.
· Manage technology vendors.
· Write functional requirements/specifications documents.
· Assess vendor development/test strategies for various network domain phase 0 projects.
· Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems.
· Good knowledge on firewall design and implementation.
· Background in deploying both bare metal systems and virtual cloud services
· Proven experience evaluating emerging technologies and incorporating them into existing or new systems
· Ability and willingness to travel OCONUS
· Advanced knowledge of and experience with networking and network protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, routing, Checkpoint firewalls, Inflobox DNS, F5 LTM, Inflobox GTM, SSH, VPNs)
· Proven ability to accomplish assigned tasks with little supervision
· Thorough understanding of modern service provider TCP/IP data networks using standards and technologies including but not limited to: Ethernet, OSPF, IGMP, STP, RSTP, 802.1q, 802.11n, and 802.11ac.
· Knowledge, skills and experience with Cisco routing, switching, and wireless hardware, software and protocols.
· Working knowledge of structured cabling systems and network facilities.
· Ability to work alone as an individual contributor, as a technical lead and as a participant in a team environment.
