Job Description:
Responsible for leading preparation and filing of quarterly and annual SEC reporting requirements, including preparing and filing press release along with reviewing and evaluating new accounting pronouncements.
· Prepares schedules, assembles accounting data, and drafts language required to complete SEC reports and filings.
· Reviews new accounting pronouncements and evaluates how they affect company.
· Reviews proposed commercial scenarios and unique business transactions, including acquisitions to ensure GAAP is applied appropriately.
· Communicates with internal auditors, regulatory auditors, and external auditors.
· Reviews equity and debt transactions and performs calculations.
Assists with acquisitions and other projects.
Job Requirements
Five years of SEC Reporting experience required.
International Business experience preferred.
Big 4 Accounting experience working with SEC registrants required.
Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting or related required.
CPA license required.
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent understanding of accounting and US GAAP.
XBRL Tagging and Document Management knowledge.
Strong skills in Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
Ability to work under tight time schedules and handle multiple tasks.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to research emerging technical accounting issues.
Working Environment
General Office – Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
