Description:
We are looking for a passionate content leader to produce innovative storytelling ideas across all of our clients and business partners. This role will focus on comprehensive content creation and management of exciting and emerging cutting-edge projects, working closely with our executive team, studio creatives, clients, and many others across the company. We’re looking for a natural creative who will tasked with bringing in new ideas and possess excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to change course quickly, perform in high-stress situations, and (perhaps most importantly) a sense of humor.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as the creative lead in content development across a range of campaigns and experiences
• Create original content and develop campaigns (lots of brainstorming, lots of writing, lots of editing) to engage, inform, and entertain
• Develop 360-degree content planning for all channels including digital projects, video, social, podcasts, native advertising, email, experiential events, displays, print, and more while developing a scalable content management process
• Manage the content schedule and strategy for client campaigns and gather insights from analytics to drive content decisions
• Partner and coordinate with content contributors from teams across the company to conceive and execute internal/external-facing campaign activations. Explore opportunities to reinforce Morgan Stanley’s thought leadership position in the space
• Work closely across the internal teams to bring in new approaches to content marketing
• Serve as a liaison between the Digital & Social Media teams throughout Morgan Stanley, our internal video team, client stakeholders, and overflow resources in ideating and facilitating compelling content that is on strategy
• Offer support in copyediting, proofreading, writing, editing, and brainstorming
• Conduct interviews and gather reporting/information as needed for projects
• Read drafts/scripts and provide coverage or creative points of view
• Manage the overall flow and day-to-day updates of assigned content projects
• Create briefs and be able to articulate creative thinking to rework documents and creative frameworks
Qualifications:
• The ideal candidate has a strong background and varied experience in content creation and campaign development/management in the digital space, an enthusiasm for finance, entertainment, and culture as well as a deep knowledge of marketing, and avidly follows digital trends and new technologies. He or she is a creative thinker and a strong writer with a clear, natural style and a sense of humor
• 7+ years of content/editorial experience in the digital and content marketing space, preferably with an eye towards digital marketing and brand storytelling, written editorial, video, and emerging formats
• 2+ years of experience at a creative, digital, or marketing agency
• Strong conceptual, communication (written, verbal, presentation) and collaboration skills
• Proven ability to pitch, plan, develop, and meet deadlines
• A willingness to invent and learn – you are not afraid to put an idea into action, measure its success, and apply learnings to future decisions
• A sound knowledge of the digital space, social media, emerging tech, voice, podcasts, and related technologies
• Proactive, organized, efficient, detail-oriented, unassailable focus on the basics, accountable, enthusiastic, able to follow detailed instructions and make thoughtful recommendations
• Ability to balance multiple, competing directions and manage multiple projects successfully
• Natural ability to build interpersonal relationships and manage conflict
• Proficient in MS Office, Keynote; well-versed in other tools and tricks of the trade
