Description:
The U.S. Public Services business unit seeks a skilled marketing lead to support the state, local, and federal practice areas and business development team. The role will execute and manage marketing, communications, and sales support activities in support of business development, practice areas, services, solutions, and products. This individual will be responsible for executing marketing activities and creating sales materials that articulate and reinforce TCS’ value proposition to U.S. public sector audiences, including buyers of technology services and solutions, agency administrators, and elected officials at the state, local, and federal levels. Activities will include, but may not be limited to, events marketing, campaigns, collateral and content development, presentation preparation, thought leadership content marketing, account-based marketing, digital and social media, analyst relations, and sales enablement.
The marketing lead will work closely with the business unit’s marketing head, practice leads, subject matter experts, technical/engineering professionals, government affairs, business development directors, and the pre-sales/proposals team to develop value propositions, messaging, campaigns, content, collateral, business development/sales materials, win themes, presentations, and case studies.
The ability to interpret and reframe technical information into commonly understood language is essential to this role. Equally important is the ability to tease out and articulate underlying value and meaning. The successful candidate will be a productive professional communicator who can manage to deadlines. Project management and organizational skills are essential. This marketing communications professional should possess superb professional written and spoken American English language skills and a portfolio of published content, collateral, and campaigns.
This role supports a U.S.-based business unit, working primarily with U.S.-based staff and time zones (Eastern, Central, Mountain, and Pacific time zones). Some calls with India and Europe will also be required weekly.
Qualifications:
• Superb professional written and spoken American English language skills
• 13+ years of experience in marketing, corporate communications, content marketing, product marketing, sales enablement, or other marketing communications function
• Experience crafting messaging for a variety of audiences, services, solutions, and purposes
• Ability to work with, write for, and provide guidance to executives, subject matter experts, technical partners, and business developers
• Enterprise B2B or B2G technology solutions and services marketing experience
• Superior project management skills
• Experience with U.S. public sector audiences and organizations selling and marketing into the U.S. public sector
Salary range is $120K- $155K plus an 8% bonus
