Job Description:
We are seeking a Data Strategy Director to partner with our CMO
Advisory team at TCS Interactive. This is a senior, client-facing role
that blends business strategy, marketing data fluency, and consultative
leadership to help our clients unlock the full potential of their
martech ecosystems.
This leader will be instrumental in connecting our industry
verticals (BFSI, CPG, Life Sciences & Healthcare) with TCSi’s
Martech capabilities, shaping strategic roadmaps and supporting the
growth and sales of marketing technology services across accounts. They
will collaborate with strong data engineering and technical teams, but
this is not a data engineering role—this is a consulting-oriented
strategy role ideal for someone with a background in an agency or
consultancy.
Although you partner with the CMO Advisory team, you will report directly into the Head of Data & Analytics.
Key Responsibilities
• Martech & Data Strategy Development:
Architect end-to-end marketing data strategies that enable
personalization, performance marketing, journey orchestration, and
measurement.
• Client Advisory & Partnership:
Advise CMOs and senior marketing leaders on how to use data for
customer engagement, brand growth, and operational efficiency. Act as a
trusted advisor across client relationships.
• Pre-Sales & Vertical Partnership:
Partner with industry vertical leaders and account teams to develop
proposals, lead workshops, and help sell in TCSi’s Martech services to
key clients.
• Marketing Technology Fluency:
Connect business needs to capabilities within CDPs, clean rooms,
cloud data lakes, identity resolution tools, and AI-powered insights
platforms. Guide clients through platform selection and adoption.
• Collaboration with Engineering:
Work closely with data engineers, architects, and platform experts
to ensure business strategy is tightly aligned with implementation and
scalable solutions.
• Analytics & Measurement Frameworks:
Shape performance measurement models, KPI frameworks, and
experimentation approaches to help clients learn and adapt continuously.
• Innovation & Thought Leadership:
Stay ahead of trends in AI, zero/first-party data strategies, and
regulatory shifts. Represent TCSi in industry events, client forums, and
POV development.
Qualifications:
• 15+ years of experience in marketing data strategy, martech consulting, digital transformation, or a related field
• Proven experience in a digital agency or management consultancy environment, advising Fortune 500 companies
• Deep understanding of marketing data ecosystems including CDPs,
cloud data platforms, clean rooms, consent management, and identity
resolution
• Strong grasp of marketing and media performance metrics, customer segmentation, and lifecycle strategies
• Experience partnering with engineering and tech teams—ability to translate business needs into scalable data solutions
• Pre-sales or business development experience; comfortable in client pitches and scoping conversations
• Skilled communicator, presenter, and relationship builder—especially at the executive level
• Familiarity with industry-specific use cases in BFSI, CPG, or Healthcare is a strong plus
• Global perspective with North American client experience preferred
