The Organizational Change Management (OCM) Director is responsible
for guiding organizations through all phases of change initiatives,
ensuring seamless adoption and lasting success. This role requires a
blend of strategic acumen and hands-on execution, driving change
programs that align with organizational goals and culture. Key
responsibilities include:
Organizational Readiness Assessment:
• Assess organizational readiness through surveys and interviews, then analyze the results to customize change management plans.
Change Management Strategy Development:
• Develop strategies that
address changes in people, processes, and technology, ensuring alignment
with business goals and organizational culture.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
• Design and implement
communication plans to engage stakeholders, using presentations, written
materials, and events to foster awareness and support across employees,
leadership, and other stakeholders.
Collaboration with Leadership Teams:
• Identify potential areas of
resistance and key influencers. Partner with leadership to anticipate
challenges, address concerns, and champion change initiatives.
Training and Development:
• Facilitate design and
delivery of training tailored new systems, processes, or roles using
classroom sessions, e-learning, job aids, and ongoing support to
facilitate adoption.
Project Team Support:
• Guide project teams in
applying change management principles, track adoption progress, and
refine approaches based on ongoing feedback and project developments.
Sustainment of Change:
• Ensure long-term success of change initiatives by embedding new practices and measuring organizational performance improvements.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience leading large-scale change or transformation projects.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and problem-solving abilities
• In-depth knowledge of change management methodologies (e.g., ADKAR, Prosci)
• Demonstrated ability to influence, motivate, and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Analytical mindset with proficiency in conducting readiness assessments and interpreting data.
• Adaptable, empathetic, and results-driven approach
• Formal certifications in OCM – PROSCI, APMG or similar
• A Background in Consulting,
Psychology, Organizational Development, or related field with experience
working across diverse industries.
