Description:

The Payments Domain Specialist will play a critical role in supporting TCS BaNCS growth in the US banking market by providing deep functional and industry expertise across payments modernization initiatives. This role is focused on advisory leadership, solution shaping, client engagement, and internal enablement. A candidate can expect to:

  • Work directly with banks and credit unions to help modernize their payments systems, including ACH, Wires, RTP, and FedNow.
  • Guide customers through real-world payments challenges, from legacy systems to new payment rails, helping them understand options and make informed decisions.
  • Collaborate day to day with sales, product, and delivery teams to shape solutions, support client meetings, and contribute to proposals and workshops.
  • Spend time talking with bank leaders and payments teams, explaining complex topics in a clear, practical way that connects technology to business outcomes.
  • Be a go to payments expert inside the organization, sharing knowledge, supporting presentations, and helping teams succeed in the US banking market.

Qualifications:
  • ~10 years of experience in US banking payments across one or more of the following:
    • ACH, Wires, RTP, FedNow
    • ISO 20022 migration
    • Core banking and payments platform modernization
  • Prior experience working within a bank, payments processor, core provider, or major SI/FinTech
  • Strong understanding of:
    • End-to-end payments processing lifecycle
    • Regulatory and compliance considerations impacting US payments
    • Legacy-to-modern coexistence and migration strategies
  • Proven ability to:
    • Engage credibly with bank executives, operations leaders, and technology heads
    • Lead client-facing workshops and assessments
    • Support RFPs, solution positioning, and executive presentations
  • Experience collaborating with product, engineering, and architecture teams
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into business-relevant outcomes

Salary Range: $115,000-$156,000 a year
